The Bay of Islands International Academy provides an environment where natural curiosity and imagination lead to exploration and discovery for akonga/learners of all ages.
Located on the Purerua Peninsula, 15 minutes Northeast of Kerikeri. We are connected to the village at Te Tii and we honour the historical linkages and the wāhi tapu (important places ) of the local hapu of Ngāti Rehia and Ngāti Torehina.
Tamariki come to us from across all of Kerikeri and surrounds. We currently cater to children from Years 1 to 8.
Our aim for akonga/learners is to support personal growth, natural curiosity and both cultural and global competency within and beyond our caring, whanau-orientated atmosphere.
We are an authorised International Baccalaureate School teaching the PYP (primary years programme). While covering the content of the NZ curriculum the philosophy of an IB education is global mindedness and our children learn knowledge, skills and attitudes through connected and meaningful inquiry. An IB education is modern, 21st century ready and respects the individuality of each of our young people.

SCHOOL HOURS
Mon -Fri: 8:45am - 3:00pm
Morning bus arrives at school at 8am. Afternoon bus departs from school at 3.45pm, and after stops arrives at Kerikeri High around 4.20pm.
