Ko wai au / Wellbeing / Hauora at home

Sparklers is normally a classroom, wellbeing toolkit, and Sparklers at home supports this. It holds many of the same fun wellbeing activities, but for the living room or lawn. Click the image above to go to Sparklers.

This year we have identified and agreed on 4 values we want to practice as a school. Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Maramatanga.

What can you find out about the meaning of these Māori kupu (words)?

Why do you think it might be helpful for us to think about these values when we are living our lives?

Wellbeing activities - Virtual/ Hybrid learning

This model describes health and wellbeing as a wharenui/meeting house with four walls. These walls represent taha wairua/spiritual wellbeing, taha hinengaro/mental and emotional wellbeing, taha tinana/physical wellbeing and taha whānau/family and social wellbeing. Our connection with the whenua/land forms the foundation.

When all these things are in balance, we thrive. When one or more of these is out of balance our wellbeing is impacted.
